The creditor will want to review your bankruptcy filing prior to extending a line of credit. If a creditor is still trying to collect from you after your bankruptcy has been completed and your debts discharged, you will need a copy of your discharge and schedule F (unsecured creditors) to stop their collection efforts. These documents are included in your completed bankruptcy file. If a credit reporting agency (Experian, Equifax or TransUnion) has made a mistake on your credit report, you will need the documents in your complete bankruptcy file to correct the reporting error.
